Winter beauty

Wisley in winter...
Butterflies in orchid house.
Do you want to go?


If we meet up there
Don't let me drink the coffee.
It's real 'giddy juice'.


One mug and I'll be
Mimicking the butterflies
Flitting here and there!

    The thought's disturbing.
    Butterflies are beautiful -
    But in wintertime?

    "Three friends of winter"
    Are the pine, plum and bamboo.
    No butterflies here!

    That notwithstanding,
    Yes, I would like to see them.
    Wisley's not that far.

    But don't worry though,
    After what happened last time
    I'll get the drinks in!

    In an orchid house
    the seasons have no meaning.
    Summer all the time.

    Somewhat disturbing
    Is use of notwithstanding.
    Big word for haiku!
